Carys welcomes Lib Dems' green manifesto

A news release from Friends of the Earth today revealed that the charity considers the Liberal Democrats to have the most environmentally-friendly manifesto of the three main parties. The news was welcomed by Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Thurrock, Carys Davis.

Clegg Scores Second Win in Party Leaders Debate

An average of five polls conducted immediately after the Sky TV Leaders Election debate on Thursday night put Nick Clegg as the winner, with all instant polls showing him ahead of Gordon Brown. After the Foreign Affairs-led debate from Bristol dominated by issues like Iraq, immigration and climate change, Nick Clegg won 3 of the 5 polls on the night, building on his position after the first debate.

Carys debates with first time voters

A collaboration between BBC Essex and South Essex College of Further & Higher Education saw Carys Davis, Lib Dem candidate for Thurrock, joining with Labour and Conservative candidates from across Essex to meet first time voters.
